Will Smith, Diplo and Nicky Jam are also participating in the official song of the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer.
“It’s an honour to be asked to perform at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This global event brings people from all over the world together to cheer, laugh and experience magic. Collaborating with Nicky, Diplo and Era on this track represents harmony, eclectic flavours and genres coming together. At the end of the day, we just want to see the world dance,” Will Smith said at the press conference.
“Live it up,” the official song for the 2018 World Cup, was launched in just three weeks, taking place in the grand finals of the tournament.
Will Smith confirmed his participation in the 2018 World Cup as a singer performing the theme song.
On his personal account, the 49-year-old singer announced that he would join singer Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi. He posted a photo with the caption, “One Life to Live. Live it Up”
Hollywood star Will Smith along with Nicky Jam and young singer Albania Era Istrefi join in the song produced by DJ, composer Diplo.
According to Billboard, they will perform the song “Live It Up” at the finale at the Luzhniki Stadium on July 15th in front of 80,000 spectators.
The 2018 World Cup will take place in Russia in June. Will Smith and his co-workers sang the song on the opening day of the biggest football tournament in the planet.
Earlier, singer Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were selected for this role at the 2010 Waka Waka and 2014 We Are One (Ole Ola).
